We’re delighted to be welcoming Marie Woolston, Experts at Hand Programme Lead, to our September Coffee Morning to speak with parent carers about the new Experts at Hand (EAH) programme being developed in Medway.
Experts at Hand aims to make it easier for children and young people with SEND to access the right support earlier, by bringing specialist knowledge and expertise closer to schools, early years settings and colleges.
As the Medway model is still being developed, this is a valuable opportunity for parent carers to find out more about the programme, ask questions and share their experiences before the model is finalised. You can find out all the information on what expert at Hands is down below;
What will we be discussing?
During the Coffee Morning, parent carers will have the opportunity to hear directly from the Experts at Hand Programme Lead and learn more about what the programme could mean for children, young people and families across Medway.
We also want to hear from you.
What currently works well when accessing SEND support? Where are the gaps? What would make it easier for children and young people to receive help earlier?
Parent carers will be able to:
- Find out more about Experts at Hand and how the programme is being developed in Medway
- Hear directly from the Experts at Hand Programme Lead
- Ask questions about the programme
- Share experiences of accessing SEND support
- Tell us what currently works and what could be improved
- Share what earlier SEND support should look like for families
- Help inform the developing Medway model
