Dr Amanda Carr came to meet parents in 2021 to discuss the concerns around transitions for young people within the Mental Health Services.

After presenting the findings to NHS Kent and Medway she has now been tasked to develop training for professionals working in the mental health sector to support better understanding of young people experience. The training will focus on issues around development needs, how to support transitions and communication and engagement with young adults in need of mental health support.

Any parents or carers of young people (18-25s) can represent the parent voice and to contribute to the topics and themes that we may cover in the training, by taking part in a focus group.

This meeting is only for service users of young people aged 18-25, not for those under 18 or on the waiting list. Please register your attendance via this link.
