The Kent & Medway Recovery and Wellbeing College has released its Autumn 2026 programme, with a range of free health and wellbeing courses for adults living in Kent and Medway.
With courses covering mental health, wellbeing, confidence, self-care and personal development, we wanted to take this opportunity to share with our Medway parent carer community.
What is the Recovery and Wellbeing College?
It provides free health-related educational courses in supportive and accessible learning environments, helping people to better understand their experiences, develop practical skills and learn ways to look after their own wellbeing and support others.
Courses vary from one-off workshops to programmes running over several weeks, with sessions lasting no more than two hours.
What’s available in Medway & Swale this autumn?
The Autumn programme runs from September to December 2026, with courses available across Medway & Swale including:
- Wilder Wellbeing
- Mental Health Toolkit
- How to Say No
- Winter Wellbeing
- Create a Better Christmas
- Nurture in Nature
- Caring for Carers
There are also introductory sessions for anyone who would like to learn more about the Recovery and Wellbeing College before getting started.
Courses take place at different venues across Medway & Swale, including locations in Rochester, Chatham, Sittingbourne and Sheerness.
Support for parent carers 💜
There are a couple of courses that may be of particular interest to our parent carers.
- Caring for Carers is a two-session course taking place on Tuesday 1 and 8 December, from 1pm–3pm at Rochester Adult Education.
- The wider programme also includes Wilder Wellbeing – Parents and Carers of Children and Young People with SEND, a six-session course specifically for SEND parent carers.
It provides an opportunity to take some time away from the demands of everyday life, reconnect with nature and meet other parents and carers who understand some of the challenges and rewards of supporting a child with SEND.
How do you enrol?
New students need to enrol with the Recovery and Wellbeing College before booking a course.
Once you have registered, a locality coordinator will contact you to complete your registration. You can then express your interest in courses through the Student Portal or contact your locality coordinator to book.
